Juvederm: What it is and What it is not
Juvederm: What It is
Juvederm is a brand name for an injectable gel that reduces wrinkles and folds in a woman or man’s face. It is also called derma filler or facial filler. There are a number of these products in the market today but Juvederm is the most famous of them all.
The reason is because it has been proven to be safe and effective and making women look younger looking and fresh without the paying for expensive cosmetic surgery fees.
It is made of a kind of protein chemical called hyalunic acid. This acid is being produced by the body in different amounts and that is the reason why it is safe but only if it is injected within the prescribed amount.
When this gel is inserted in specific areas in the face, the muscle in that area becomes paralyzed. The reason why the face cannot produce the fold is because the muscles that produce these folds no longer is already paralyzed.
Juvederm: What It Is Not
Juvederm is safe but it is not something that you can inject anytime. The recommended application is once a year. Many women think that since it is approved by US Bureau of Food and Drugs, it can be injected as frequently as they want.
Some women hold Juvederm party and inject the liquid as if they are just taking multivitamins. You have to realize that it is still dangerous when taken in large amounts.
Juvederm is not a replacement for maintenance of your face by quitting cigarette smoke and getting out of the sun. Even if you have the money to pay for Juvederm, you should still take care of your face. Don’t frown. Don’t go to sleep without washing your face. These are simple things that you can do to help prevent wrinkles.
